We're home!

In case you missed the news, we closed on Tuesday, drove to Fairbanks on Wednesday to load the U-Haul (& the sale recorded while we were there), drove south on Friday & unloaded the U-Haul on Saturday.  I need to give a HUGE thank you to Nick's parents, Tom & Debbie.  They drove up with us on Wednesday & we couldn't have gotten packed & out of Fairbanks without them. When we unloaded on Saturday, his parent's were there again, along with my parents.  On Saturday it was my Poppa who saved the day by bringing some extra help.  Kenny that works for him & Kenny's friend Andre were instrumental in unloading the truck in record time.  We were thankful for the help from both sides & happy that both sets of parents got to see the new house.

As we keep getting the house in shape, I'll keep sharing pictures.

Now it's REALLY for real!

The one thing we were waiting for has happened, woohoo!  Since we have the appraisal it looks like we will get to close on time, provided no other issues pop up.  (PLEASE pray that doesn't happen, I can't take the stress lol!!)

On the way down to Anchorage to hang out with Poppa.  As he was mid-procedure,  I swung by the house to take some pictures of the carpet through the window.  In a very happy coincidence, the lady who does some of the construction cleaning was there & let me in to walk through & take some pictures. So, voila!

I'm SO EXCITED!!!!

Color!!!

Eek!  It is getting so close!!!  We won't be able to go inside until the 8th, but we still enjoy peeking through the windows.  The carpet will start going in on Monday & there are a few fixtures here & there, plus they need to stain the floor of the porch & the back porch.  Still, that's not much!!!

I love this.  The white really pops against the blue & the blue is dark enough to be a great neutral!

I can already picture the riotous colors of peonies in front of the porch!
